Premier Consulting Group Limited (PCGTT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Dawn Clare Lemonius as a Consultant with specialized focus on Human Capital Development within the Tourism Industry, locally and regionally.
Ms. Lemonius’ professional career started when she entered the teaching profession immediately after completing High School. Having become a Teacher of Mathematics, Social Studies and History at secondary and high schools, she transitioned into the corporate world by becoming trained and certified as a Secretary. Her work environment exposed her to training, so the natural inclination was to embrace this career.
The journey into corporate training began when she joined the Training Department of the Jamaica Tourist Board as an Administrative Assistant. Since then her career in training and development has been further honed through working with, and being trained by JAMPRO Corporation, Tourism Product Development Company, and HEART Trust/NTA. She was further afforded the opportunity to contribute her skills and competences in human resource management and training as Group Human Resource/Training Manager at Caribic Vacations and Knutsford Express, Jewel Resorts where she served as the Group Training and Development Manager and most recently as Training & Development Manager at Melia Braco Village. Dawn’s prime focus at Caribic Vacations Group of Companies was the establishment of its Human Resource Department and implementation of a Quality-based Training Programme for all staff members as well as all staff of Knutsford Express.
She also served as visiting Trainer at the Ritz Carlton Resort and Spa, Montego Bay, and as Associate Trainer with the Customer Service Academy of Jamaica, in the Quality Advantage Programme. Ms. Lemonius, currently serves as a Trainer with the Tourism Product Development Company, Jamaica. In this capacity, she offers her expertise in the Tourism sector, in the areas of Management Training, (Leadership, Coaching, Customer Service Management, and Supervisory Skills). She also serves in the Team Jamaica Team Member Training Programme in areas such as, Tourism Awareness, Jamaican Culture (Folklore, Cuisine, Music & Dance), Environmental Awareness, Geography of Jamaica) for employees in the tourism sector.
Ms. Lemonius has completed numerous Train-the-Trainer programmes including the Team Jamaica Programme, Competency-based Economies for the Formation of Enterprise (CEFE), Health and Food Safety, and received a Diploma in Training and Development from the Institute of Management and Production.
In 2014 she was certified as a Certified Customer Service Trainer (CCST), and in 2015 Certified Master Trainer (CMT) by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). The Institute is a subsidiary of City and Guilds of London, and is Europe’s largest management institute for leadership and management training. The CCST and the CMT are recognized in 140 countries worldwide.
She is particularly delighted to be the first professional trainer in Jamaica to have earned this prestigious certification, and will definitely be doing more to remain on the forefront of training and development.
Commenting on Ms. Lemonius’ appointment, Mr. Anthony Moore, Director, Business Development, PCGTT, indicated that this addition to the company’s portfolio of expertise is of tremendous value as Trinidad and Tobago advances its focus on Tourism development.
